Intec was recently tasked to complete a retrofit (house is already built) install with video, wifi and distributed audio. The house was actually added on to twice which meant three different attics to navigate and run wire through. A total of 6 TV’s were installed that ranged from 24 inches up to 75 inches. The 75 inch was installed on what was the exterior brick wall of the original home and is now the interior wall opposite the kitchen in the new addition. A SONOS sound bar was installed underneath that TV, along with a SONOS wireless sub and two SONOS Play3’s for rear speaker effect. We couldn’t help ourselves but to watch Jurassic World for a bit once this job was complete…this room sounded amazing! A 27 space rack was used to house three cable boxes, power distribution, router, Ethernet switch and the SONOS Connect Amps. Those amps, combined with the sound bar and an additional amp placed in another room in the house, gave the customer a total of 10 audio zones which can be controlled via their iPhones and iPads. Pretty cool, right?
